 The Waterfront restaurant in St. James City has specials every day, my favorite is Tuesdays. The shrimp are .60 cents each and are available hot or cold. I had mine hot with a side of garlic butter, perfectly cooked and yummy! www.waterfrontrestaurant.com/
The red tide is gone and things are getting back to normal on pine island. Dolphins are in the canal as well as manatees. The catfish ironically like cat food. It's not uncommon to see porpoises frolicking behind the house ins St. James City.  The mangroves around Pine Island are home to many species including this juvenile snook. This little guy was promptly released after Snapper and Skipper took a curious look.  |
