The Saint Jude Trail is part of the Calusa land trust and its a nice 2 mile walk through the unspoiled land of Pine Island.

If you're looking for fresh shellfish, look no further than the end of Palm Ave in Saint James City. There is a small commercial fishing dock there where you can get fresh seafood right of the boat.
