Unexpected visitor

Manatees are a common sight in and around the Pine Island area. Although Manatees spend most of their time in salt water, they still need to drink fresh water. This photo was sent by one our guests,who was washing the boat when an opportunistic Manatee stopped by for a drink of water. This activity  is discouraged so that manatees don't become dependent on fresh water from humans.
